The Township of Cavan Monaghan, located just 20 kilometers South of the City of Peterborough, is a rural area that includes several small hamlets and villages including Bailieboro, Cavan, Fraserville, Ida, Mount Pleasant, Springville, Five Mile Turn, and the Historical Village of Millbrook. Set proudly on a foundation of heritage, culture and community values, the Township is committed to fostering and promoting initiatives to help grow the local economy, all while preserving what makes the area at large a well-known and iconic rural setting.

While the majority of the area is composed of rural countryside, the Village of Millbrook remains the Township’s largest and main population centre. As one of the Township's largest cultural attractions, 4th Line Theatre is an award winning outdoor theatre company committed to the development and presentation of original Canadian theatre. The plays presented are written by and about Canadians, from small town stories to broad national sagas.

Millbrook Fair

Established in 1849, this is a fun-filled, family tradition! Four days in early-to-mid June packed with activities, venues and displays put on by locals for locals!
