Check out the many trails available all year round in the winter months taker your cross-country skis, snowmobiles and snowshoes out or in the summer months hike, trek or bike. If that doesn’t fancy you then wine and dine in the many local restaurants with the catch of the day. There are endless amounts of things to do in cottage country all year round for the whole family.
History
Historically this town is known for its transporting history known for its “boat train” in 1912. Where travelers took steamboats to commute. Port McNicoll is a historic town with beautiful well-preserved buildings, a maritime museum Keewatin that holds all of the waterfront and boating history of this town. There are many heritage walking tours that residents may enjoy all season to learn about their beautiful and quiet community.
